What is the best compliment that you have received from a celebrity/Judge on VOI?
- when I had sung “Dil Haara ” , Sukhi ji had said that I had sung the song better than what he had sung originally
- this was a big compliment specially from a person who has originally sung this song
When did you experience fame and popularity?
- When I go out people do recognize me, they call my name and wave at me.
- This grows bigger when we perform in our VOI concerts in different cities.
- Then we truly get to know of our popularity and face value

What has been most challenging for you in VOI so far?
- I have been working very hard to give my best performance and my main motto is to get good marks from the judges and be it the top lot
- I expect to do the same in the coming weeks because right now everyone is trying hard to give his best shot
Diwali celebration
- I was in Kolkata for diwali with my family. I went to a lot of pandals with my friends.
Happiest moment in VOI
- My return to VOI has been the happiest moment so far.
Embarrassing moment in VOI
- I was Spark of the week twice, and still I got voted out. This was quite embarrassing for me
Who is the weakest contestant?
- Ravi and Zakir are the weakest. Ravi still has to prove his versatility.
- Zakir also lacks in his style, he should try to sing different genres. He only concentrates on Md. Rafi songs
Comeback
- I am happy to get another chance …more than that I m happy that now the judges would play a crucial role in choosing the Voice of India
- I think now it would be a fair competition
Preparation
- I want to sing old melodies now……..I feel there is more potential to prove ones talent by singing old songs……
- If you can sing the classic of all times well enough then you can sing anything
Reaction of other contestants when he came back
- I know that the contestants must be feeling bad. If I would have been in their place I would have felt the same………
- They also have worked hard and they must have felt bad seeing three of the eliminated contestants come back
First Crush
- I don’t really had a crush but I admire Shahrukh Khan a lot of what he is today and how he achieved his success
Anoushka’s entry- Anoushka coming on the show is not fair! She is an established singer and this is not the place for her to be!! But I’m not scared of her. I know what I am capable of and I am going to give my 100% on stage.
On Janta being the Ultimate Judge – I am not very happy with this decision. The judges should play a role in the elimination as they have the experience and ear which makes them pick out the best among us.
On being Sukhi’s Shishya - I feel this is a very best thing that has happened to me. I came back in wildcard all because of Sukhiji’s help. Training under Sukhiji’s supervision is going to be great and I think I am really lucky as many don’t get a chance like this.
On Navratri- I am missing my family and home. Back home during this time we have Durga Puja which is a very important festival, so I am missing all my friends, relatives. But being in Mumbai during Navratri has been a great experience. I did dandiya with my friends for the first time. I have never danced so much in my life!
Weakest Singer in the Top 6 – Rohit is the weakest performer on the show in terms of his singing.
On Anoushka’s entry – This is very very unfair! Anoushka is a celebrity who has proven herself in Bollywood. We are here in this competition so that someday, we become a part of Bollywood. Her, being here, makes it very difficult for us.Anoushka is popular with the people while we are still struggling to make a space for ourselves in people’s hearts. But I don’t ever get demoralized. So, I plan to perform really well. We will get better only through practice which is what we are doing.
On Being Sukhi’s Shishya – All 3 judges are dhaasoo but Sukhiji is my favourite. Sukhiji is my inspiration and my whole family loves him. He is moody but that happens when one is creative and busy. I know I will really learn a lot under him because only a singer can teach you how to sing.
On Janta being the Ultimate Judge – People do make informed choices but I am a little worried about my stay in the show because many a time when I have been in Ranbhoomi, the judges have saved me from getting eliminated because I scored good points from them. Luck also plays a huge part in this. It is difficult to prove yourself to the people. I want to mould myself to their needs
On Navratri – we perform a very grand Navratri Pooja at home. Mummy lights the akhand jot and we do a havan at home. I am missing it this time but kuch pane ke liye kuch khona padta hai .
Weakest singer in the Top 6 –Actually, Ravi bhaiyya is great when it comes to Western songs but gets stuck at some technical points. He is a rocking performer though- the way he involves people and makes them sing. We all have to learn from him…
Elimination - I was shocked when I got eliminated as the very same day I was the spark of the week. I feel that may be I didn’t get enough time to prove myself . But I am not disheartened. I am preparing myself more for the wild card. I hope this time I would leave a mark
Wildcard - Its good that I am getting a second chance and I would prove my self. I think I have the 200% potential to be the VOI. I plan to sing Sukhiji’s song for the episode but I am really worried about how he will react to it. Also, Sukhiji’s songs are really tough to sing and hard to live up to.
For me, ASVOI is the best Reality Show, I have ever seen. This show will make me famous in our country. I will try my level best to win this title
