Mumbai attacks
- I had never experienced such a thing in my life.
- It is a very big shock for everyone
Message
- It is a test of patience for all of us ,
- we all should stand by each other and overcome this situation in a very calm manner
- lets all pray that these things don’t happen again

What is the best compliment that you have received from a celebrity on VOI?
- So far a number of celebrities have come on VOI and they all say good things about us.
- The best compliment that I got was from Bappi da , he told me that I had a very unique voice and had good chance of singing in Bollywood, he even sang with me on stage .
- That was a very nice experience and very motivating for me.
When did you experience fame and popularity?
- Recently I had gone to Bangalore and I decided to visit my school.
- All my school life I had sung in school events so a number of people do knew me
- But this time when I went back it was a totally new experience, I was covered with young kids all around, my teachers were also there.
- Every one was asking for autographs and getting photographs clicked with me.
- I never expected all this; I could not believe that I had become so popular.
What has been most challenging for you in VOI so far?
- I am a very shy kind of a person , I am not much of a performer
- So to become a performer was little difficult for me

Playing the role of Banjaran
- It was really tough for me to adapt to the role. I had no clue how to enact it.
- It was good to leave my own identity and adapt to something else
- I was doubtful whether I would be able to do it or not.
Preparations
- I saw the video of the song which I had sung a number of times, because it depicted a banjaran in it.
- I also took help from my friends abut my role and to adapt to it.
What if, you were a Banjaran in real life?
-
- Banjaran’s are usually nomads and they keep moving from one place to the other, so it would have been quite a fun to travel and be at different place
- It would have been quite an experience
Zakir’s elimination
- I felt bad for his elimination because the earlier week he had sung really well and I had never imagined he would go out
- I was pretty much sure that this week I would surely go out

Diwali celebrations
- I had a great time with my family at home. It had been months away from home and I could not wait for a single minute to spend time with my family. And diwali seemed to be the best time
Happiest moment in VOI
- I had got a lot of appreciation from the judges when I had sung my first song in VOI. Even I felt that it was my best performance and it was quite a happy and memorable moment for me.
Embarrassing moment in VOI
- When I had sung “ sabki baaratein ayi” I got bad marks and comments from the judges. I really felt bad at that point of time.
Do you consider yourself as a weak contestant?
- I am not bothered of what the other contestant’s or others have to say about me. I am not a bad singer I know that
- My families, my fans, the people who support me know that I am a good singer.
- It is very difficult to judge a person on a few performances but on the whole I am a singer.

Format Change
- I m fine with the format change but it’s a little frustrating to see the change happen at the last stage of the show.
- It’s unfair to others who got eliminated earlier …they should have also got a fair chance
- I m also feeling bad for our supporters who were voting every week for us and had put us in the top 3………and now again we are back with the top 6.
- Our earlier eliminated contestant should have also been given the same chance.
Preparing To impress the judges
- last week I sang well and the judges saw that and praised my performance
- I want to continue doing the same, as the best way to impress the judges is to sing well.
First Crush
- When I was in Class 3 I had a crush on Robin Singh of Indian Cricket team. That was the first crush I had
Blind date
- my blind date would be Tom Cruise
Deserted on an island with
- I would love to get deserted on an island with Hrithik Roshan

Being at top 5:
- Its tough for me to digest that I m in the top 5….I had never thought that I would ever make it so far….I am surprised to see the support that I have received from my fans and supporters …..
Performing in Different Cities
- it an amazing feeling to perform in front of your fans ……..when I m performing on stage people call up my name ,and it feels great that they know me……..kids rush to me for autographs, I never dreamt that I would be signing autographs so soon
- My best show was in Pune , I had a blast over there….there were thousands of people dancing and singing to my songs…
- We have performed in Anand (Ahmedabad), Nasik, Chandigarh and Pune ……..and every time its getting bigger and better
Top Contender for VOI
- VIPUL

Anoushka’s entry- It took me quite sometime to understand what was really going on. I don’t understand why an estabilished singer is coming on the show. But I am not scared or bothered about her presence on the show as I have faith in myself. Actually, this reality check is going to make us work hard!
On Janta being the Ultimate Judge - I am not surprised with this decision. Ultimately the Voice of India will have to be a singer who is loved by the common people. So it makes sense that the people of India choose their voice.
On having Monty as her Guru – Montyji is a great mentor. The training sessions that Rohit and I have had with him have really helped me a lot. My focus has sharpened, thanks to him. I am working on my strengths now.
On Navratri – I love this time of the year- colour and music everywhere! I would love to do Garba with my friends this Navratri.
Weakest Singer in the Top 6 – Saptaparna is has a really sweet voice but falls short when it comes to stage performance. When we look at the nuances of music, Ravi falls short. But Ravi is a great performer.

Missing College - I miss being in college but its not what I want to do the most. I want to be a singer. I come from a conventional South Indian family where education is given a lot of importance. But my family has understood my passion for music and nurtured me.
Dowry issue- In VOI I had a very strong bonding with Vinti . Vinti started the awareness campaign against dowry, so when she got eliminated she decided to give this responsibility to me. It’s a big responsibility given to me by my good friend. I plan to take this awareness campaign ahead.
Sympathy votes on VOI?- As VOI is a complete talent based show, people vote for those who they can connect with and whose music they can enjoy. It feels good to be so popular in South India as people normally don’t watch so many Hindi shows. The viewership has increased in the South because of me- rich ,poor, young ,old - all are watching VOI and voting for me
