October 7th, 2008 indyaOn Anoushka’s entry – Anoushka’s entry is a shock! But we have nothing in our hands. I just plan to keep singing. Afterall, I am here only to learn and to sing and I don’t look left or right and want to do my work. My people are looking at me and I cant let them down.
- On being Monty’s Shishya– Montyji is the best! He is very positive in his criticism. He points us our strong points and pushes us to work on it. He is very kind and I have to do really well as he believes a lot in me
- On Janta being the Ultimate Judge - I am only worried about singing. People will vote according to their likes and dislikes. To me winning doesn’t matter- this is just a path to Bollywood. All I know is that the people in my stay awake for me. They have no electricity at times but they keep voting for me. I cannot let them down.
- On being very shy - I used to be a masti-khor back at home but now because I miss home a lot, I tend to keep quiet. I feel out of place and it is difficult for me to mingle with people. But I have music which keeps me going. My parents came to Mumbai- they have never come out of the village in their lives… they left as soon as my shoot got over because they are not used to a big city. It was sad to watch them go.
- Weakest singer in the Top 6 – When you compare all the singers in the Top 6, I feel that Rithisha and Ravi are the weakest. Rithisha has a south Indian touch to her singing which limits her sometimes. Ravi is a little weak when it comes to Classical music but he can outdo all of us when it comes to western songs.
