September 26th, 2008 indyaControversy after ‘Orissa’ was spelt wrongly on her sash – People of Orissa was right to be angry with me about the wrong spelling on my sash. It was on a day when I was very stressed- so stressed that I forgot to notice the wrong spelling on the sash. I really apologise for this and I want to say that I am really proud of my state Orissa.
On getting Low Marks from the judges – I felt that I didn’t deserve such low marks. I did make mistakes, I agree but I was really not that bad. I was never liked by the judges. Ismailji called me a dabba singer. I got 3 marks from him for one performance and Shaan Dada even said on-stage that I didn’t deserve such low marks. I felt that they were being a little too strict with me. However, I am glad that Orissa was supporting me.
Wildcard – It is a last chance for me to make my state proud. I am working very hard & I am rehearsing for hours together.
