Performing in Ahmadabad

-         There were a lot of people who had turned up to see us perform in Ahmadabad

-         To me it felt like I was performing in a concert, I never thought that I was singing to get good votes or to get good marks. I only thought of  making the people happy who had come in there and to deliver what I can

Fear of loosing the voice

-         Meeting with the accident was my fate , now I have to live with it all my life

-         There has been times when I have got tensed and fainted due to it

-         But when I am singing or involved in music I leave everything aside and forget my problems

-         My father is also there with me who gives me strength to carry on

Ritisha’s elimination

-         So far Saptaparna has been performing consistently from the beginning and I did not want her to get voted out

-         Ravi also has improved tremendously

-         Ritisha on the other has shown a lot of ups and down in her performance

Rithisha Speaks

December 8th, 2008 indya

-         I have always been saying that Ritisha had not delivered her best so far

-         This time she shocked everyone with her performance , I got goose bumps listening to her

-         Her performance was good this time but the voting was done on the last performance in which she was not too good

-         One has to go every week and whatever happens it happens for the good.

Format Change

-         I m fine with the format change but it’s a little frustrating to see the change happen at the last stage of the show.

-         It’s unfair to others  who got eliminated earlier …they should have also got a fair chance

-         I m also feeling bad for our supporters who were voting every week for us and had put us in the top 3………and now again we are back with the top 6.

-         Our earlier eliminated contestant should have also been given the same chance.

Preparing To impress the judges

-         last week I sang well and the judges saw that and praised my performance

-         I want to continue doing the same, as the best way to impress the judges is to sing well.

First Crush

-         When I was in Class 3 I had a crush on Robin Singh of Indian Cricket team. That was the first crush I had

Blind date

-         my blind date would be Tom Cruise

Deserted on an island with

- I would love to get deserted on an island with Hrithik Roshan

Vinti Speaks Week 1

September 26th, 2008 indya

Elimination – I had given  my 100% in VOI and did not get expect to get eliminated . I know I am a good singer but I don’t know what went wrong. If I get a second chance I hope to do better than before and to get better support from my people .
Anti-Dowry Campaign - I am campaigning for Anti - Dowry. After my elimination, I have left this responsibility on Rithisha, who met people who have been victimized by dowry crime. I want to go back to UP and do something there. I want to create awareness amongst girls to stand up for themselves. I want more people to join me.
VOI is a very popular show and I felt it was a right platform to bring the Anti- Dowry awareness among the people. Winning this VOI is a great task for me because not only it will make me a singer but also help me take this responsibility ahead.

Rohit Speaks Week 1

Journey from Sadiya till Mumbai - I had never thought that I would ever get a chance to come so far and get a stage like VOI. People of my village formed a group called ‘SANGEET VYAS’, which pooled in money for me and sent me here. I’m thankful to Star Plus that made Sadiya so popular. Even many people from Assam don’t know where Sadiya is , but because of  Star Plus the entire nation knows it now.
My village does not have proper electricity, so people gather money every week and bring a battery to watch television. Earlier we didn’t even get Star plus but now because of me on VOI people get to see Star Plus. People pool in money from all villagers to get vouchers for their phone to vote for me. Its really unbelievable how much my village is doing for me

If I become VOI or a great singer in life I would like to do something great for my village. But I don’t know how much I would be able to repay them as what they have done for me is more than what I could have asked them for

Vipul Speaks Week 1

Missing Mom  –  Punjabis love food and so do I . I miss the food cooked by my mother, but it’s a small sacrifice that I have to make, in order to take part in such a big platform. My performance in such a big platform has made my parents proud of me.
Performing as Vipulina- It was a strange feeling to perform dressed like a girl. But I was there to entertain and bring smiles on people’s faces- which I did
On Zakir’s popularity – Zakir bhaiyya got so many votes because his voice and songs reached out to the common man. I’m not the favorite of judges but this does not affect me because I do perform consistently and judges do appreciate my performance
